NFL Offseason

With a new champion at the helm in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles pulled off an upset that will cement them as one of the league’s greatest underdog’s. Nick Foles went toe to toe with the great one (Tom Brady) on the grandest stage of them all, and won! Both teams played their best games, with little mistakes, but it only takes one play to change the outcome of the game. When looking back at the game, most will picture the 4th and 1 on the 1-yard line, when the Eagles called a fake run, into a passing completion to Foles for a touchdown. With a final score of 41-33 and the next game of football coming in September, this game will sting for Patriot fans, while Eagle fans will be Flying High.

After months of hard work, our spring sports are set to begin. Softball head coach Steve Leverton, begins his 4th year at the helm. After an NJCAA National Championship Tournament appearance last season, they begin the year ranked #19 nationally.  New to the Hawks family, baseball head coach Brian Furlong begins his first year at Heartland. The Hawks begin their season ranked #19 by Collegiate Baseball. Expectations for both teams are high and the sense of optimism is overwhelming.
